Guatemala Mission

Through the National Office Of Catholic Relief Services (CRS) our Diocese is partnered with the Diocese of Santa Rosa, Guatemala. Our parish has established a relationship with the Parish of St. Francis of Assisi, in Jumaytepeque, in the DIocese of Santa Rosa. 

We offer scholarships to a number of familes so that a student from their families may attend school.. For $360 ($30 a month) a child may attend grades K through 8. For $600 ($50 a month) a child may attend grades 9 through 12.

We have offered support for the construction of a Youth Center, that is under way.

 

We support a clinic attached to the Parish in Santa Rosa, that works primarily with the education of parents on proper care and feed of their young children. The clinic also addresses other medical issues of the people who come their. We brought them medical supplies.

We have also offered support for the Padre Pedro Home for Adults, in Santa Rosa. This place offer a home to abandon adults who are in need of care and have no one to help them. There are 9 men and 9 women at present living there. We offered funds for a woman to have eye surgery, last year, that was very successful.
